On the same day, another group of SHS students competed in the
2026 Westchester County Regional Envirothon at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson. 15 high schools in the region tested their knowledge of environmental topics including aquatic ecology, forestry, soils and land use, wildlife, and environmental issues via a hands-on competition. The team from
Scarsdale High School won the Aquatics division, and was the Westchester County winner, advancing to the
New York State Envirothon on May 17-28. Congratulations to our environmental scientists!
