	Capital Projects Bond Survey Thank you to the over 600 of you who have responded to our Capital Projects Bond Survey so far. The survey will remain open until 6:00 PM this evening (Friday, October 24). The results of the survey will be shared at Monday's Board of Education meeting, and will be used to guide the Board's thinking, including the weighing of proposed projects and alternatives. If you haven't already, please complete the survey by scanning or clicking on the QR code at left, or by accessing the survey here.
	Ed Report & Bond Discussion On Monday, October 27, 2025, the Board of Education will hold a business meeting that will feature an Education Report and an update on the Capital Projects Bond planning. The Education Report is titled, "Comprehensive Assessment in Three Parts: Standardized Testing, Tri-State Benchmarking, and Performance-Based Practices." The Capital Projects update will focus on the results of the Bond Survey, the feedback shared at the October 16 public information session, and the just-released Demographic Report, including implications for the potential bond.
	Halloweekend is High Risk Halloween weekend is when many younger teens first try alcohol and older teens binge drink or use drugs. Every year, Scarsdale teens are hospitalized due to drinking too much alcohol. Even one drink can be riskier than you think. Scarsdale Action for Youth encourages parents and caregivers to start the conversation at home now. SAY's Don't Be Scared Be Prepared campaign provides key tips for parents on how to Beware, Prepare, and Take Care.
	Raider Quadrupleheader Today! Postseason play is upon us, and SHS is the place to be! Please come out to support Varsity Girls Soccer as they take on Mount Vernon at 2 PM in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs. Then, cheer on our Varsity Girls Field Hockey squad at 4 PM as they face Roy C Ketcham HS in the first round of the Class A playoffs. If Volleyball is your preference, our Varsity Boys are in action at 4:30 PM against New Rochelle in the gym. Finally, stick around and grab dinner from the SHS concessions table so you can cheer on the Varsity Football team on Senior Night! It's a rivalry game against Mamaroneck -- wear your black Raider gear! Go Raiders!.
	Paint the 'Dale October 26 Paint the 'Dale is this Sunday, October 26 from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM! All residents and members of our school community are invited to participate in this free, family-friendly event where you can help paint a mural and enjoy art activities, crafts, and games. Come out and be a part of this great event!
